Attending Consensus Miami

Last week I attended Consensus Miami, one of the larger gatherings focused on technology, finance, media, and the changing ways people connect and build businesses online. The event brought together people from a wide range of industries and backgrounds, which made for some thoughtful conversations beyond just technology itself.

What I continue to appreciate at events like this is the reminder that behind every new platform, trend, or tool, there are still basic human things that matter most: trust, communication, relationships, and long-term thinking.
I’ve found over the years that some of the best parts of conferences are not the big presentations, but the quieter conversations in hallways, over coffee, or walking between meetings. You learn a lot by listening.
Miami was energetic, fast-moving, and full of people trying to build what they believe will matter in the years ahead. I’m grateful for the chance to reconnect with old friends, meet new people, and spend a few days learning.
